For Indonesians, tourist visas to Israel are only available for group travel through travel agencies for pilgrimage purposes. It’s not easy to get a visa, because the two countries maintain no formal diplomatic ties.Continue reading “LESSONS FROM ISRAEL TRIP”
A BELATED HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

A week ago, I was sitting on a train to Munich.
The train was busy, so Tobias and me were seated separately.
I was extremely tired from traveling and had not had enough sleep.
As I glanced out of the window, I happened to see my reflection in the glass window, a tired face.
Lately, I’m not doing well.
Most of my time, I stay in bed, I feel tired, I have head pressure, double vision, weak right arm, pain in my left arm, weak legs, sensitive pain on my face.
On the train, on our way back home from Berlin,
me and Tobias were sitting next to each other, opposite other passengers, separated by a table.
I visited art museums in Vienna,
they showed the collection of paintings by famous artists.
It’s so impressive to see how the artists were infusing their paintings with narrative details,
through tone, color, contour line, gesture, composition, and symbolism,
to tell us unfolding stories.
Me and Tobias woke up at 4:30 am,
took a 6 am train to Frankfurt Airport,
to catch our 9 am flight to Vienna.
We were fully awake,
everything so far so good,
the day seemed to be starting wonderfully.
Then, once we arrived at Frankfurt airport,
it switched into a day of full of surprises.

I spent precious time with my parents, my brother and sister in law, and my niece who visited from Jakarta and joined us in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. We also went to Macau briefly, followed by a wonderful trip to Beijing that has left me and Tobias overwhelmed by the vast pace and development in China.Continue reading “LESSONS FROM CHINA TRIP (PART-1)”
